A: The CVB Board of Directors approved a budget in 2009 that included debt service for the Capitol Theatre. Revenue projections indicate the CVB will be able to continue its primary mission of marketing the Wheeling area to outside visitors and redesign its marketing plan to include the theater in all its promotions and advertising. The Wheeling Municipal Auditorium Board, which receives a portion of the city’s hotel/motel bed tax revenue, will be responsible for operations costs.
