Q: Will the current tenant, Clear Channel, remain in the building? What will be the new lease agreement?
A: The current tenant, Clear Channel, entered into a renewal lease agreement in 2006 with the previous owner (Live Nation) that expires on December 31, 2010. The agreement was transferred to the Wheeling Convention and Visitors Bureau. During the last year of the renewal term, Clear Channel shall have the right to negotiate a new lease with the CVB. We think it’s a win-win opportunity to keep the radio stations in the Capitol Theatre well into the future.
